Reviews and Ratings
The hotel offers rooms that are of an average size, nice, and functional with good furnishing, providing a comfortable stay with a view. The service, although extremely busy, is extraordinarily nice and helpful. Situated at the seaside in a beautiful fjord location, it is a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. The dining experience, including vegetarian options, is excellent with a good selection to choose from.
The hotel is all about its magnificent location, above the staff's working area, with its own private sandy beach and close to Ulvik's attractions. The rooms, though old-fashioned and simple, are fine for a single night stay despite the bathroom being a bit marginal with a rusty cast-iron bath. The service, helpful throughout despite a language barrier, has some room for improvement as seen when a glass water jug was dropped and not properly addressed. The facilities are worth the craziness and the price seemed reasonable overall.
